今天容许我放下美国现任总统乔治布什(George W Bush)不谈，改谈另一位很值得敬重的美国前总统占美卡特。
诺贝尔各奖都在瑞典首都斯德哥尔摩(Stockholm)颁发，唯独“和平奖”在挪威首都奥斯陆(Oslo)颁发。
且听英文电视台新闻报告员怎样介绍这位诺贝尔和平奖得主出场：He did have this to say over the prospect of war.（关于战争的前景他说了这话。）
镜头割切拍年届七十八的占美卡特领奖后说出肺腑之言：War may sometimes be a necessary evil. But no matter how necessary, it is always evil, never good.（战争有时可能是必要的坏事，但无论多么必要，总是坏事，绝不是好事。）
我们继续听卡特说的最后一句警世之言。
