开课系所生理所开课学年101开课学期2课程名称(中文)进阶研究方法与论文写作课程名称(英文)AdvancedBiomedicalResearch课程码S354300分班码无先修科目或先备能力无学分数2开课教师蔡美玲e-mailmltsai@mail.ncku.edu.tw06-2353535ext.5436OfficeHours9:00am–4:00pm课程概述ThiscourseisintendedforseniorgraduatestudentstohelpthemfurtherrefinetheirscientificreasoningskillsinconjunctionwiththeirskillsofscientificmunicationinanEnglishacademicenvironment.Researchmaterialusedinthecoursewillbeselectedbythestudentsandrelevanttotheirindividualresearchprojects.Inthefirstpartofthecoursestudentswillselectapublishedresearcharticlemostrelevanttotheirownresearchprojectandexplaintheprincipalbiomedicalprocessesbeingreportedoninthatpaper.Studentswillwritecritiquesoftheresearcharticlessummarizingthefindingsandhighlightingtheweaknessesoftheresearchpaperswithparticularemphasisonissuesregardingthefindingsandinterpretationsreportedinthepublication.Thecriticalthinkingskillsrefinedinthefirstpartofthiscourseareelaboratedoninthesecondpartofthecoursewherestudentswillgenerateamanuscriptdraftoftheirownresearchprojectocusingontheessentialelementsofeachmajorsectionthatpriseaclassicresearcharticle.Detailedfeedbackonstudents'writingassignmentsandoralpresentationsisprovidedthroughoutthecoursesostudentscanactivelyimprovetheirwritingandoralskills.Thefinalstudent-generatedproductsamanuscriptdraftandaresearchprojectpresentation,helpthestudentswiththeirgraduatestudies.Hopefully,themanuscriptdraftwillbenearreadyforsubmissionandmayalsobeamajorponentofastudent'sresearchthesis.Thesefinalworksproducedbythestudentsareinlieuofafinalexam.教学目标DevelopmentofDocument:ManuscriptDraft(includingAbstract,Introduction,MaterialsandMethods,Results,Discussion)授课课程大纲明细
